Great story, from a simple idea to a new kind of communication platform that has a bright future. I can't wait to read the next episode !
Nice post on why/how Latitude will be successfull. But I especially like this quote on privacy:
"Well sorry, privacy is dead, [...] Personal publicity and personal engagement lets you talk, lets you share ideas, makes you friends, and lets you influence people. Always been that way, just now the tools are different - radically so - it’s people power [...]
And when things that one, younger generation ‘gets‘ and embraces readily as a vehicle for change and liberation, but another can’t understand, resist, and insist is dangerous, there’s only ever one endgame - because the old folks die, and the cycle is endless.
So Latitude is part of an Attitude. Dude."
"How they managed to actually launch this particular service is beyond me, since Latititude is not the brightest kid of the Google flock. The user experience is downright awful and here is why."
Unexpected encounter between Run DMC, Aerosmith and the Electric Light Orchestra.
Ooops.... I promise I will never ever complain about my job, I swear, trust me, I'm happy to have A job !

"..a chart showing the job-losses by month in the past two recessions (red=2001, blue=1991) against the current recession (that suicidal green line plunging to its death)"
Woaw ! Nice explanation of the 0 opacity iFrame trick used in the latest Twitter hijacking. Doesn't look like there is any easy protection against these kind of social hacks. Best is not to click on buttons and to avoid being logged into Twitter. Use an Air client instead !
