Kutiman-Thru-you - Mother of All Funk Chords (via @torgo)

Is this the birth of a new genre ? Not the first one I've seen using After Effect kind of remixing, but definitively pushing it to the extreme by creating a whole new track out of independent videos. I love it !

Inspiring little video on Entrepreneurship

The more I think about it, the more I view entrepreneurship as a state of mind, more than a status. You can be an entrepreneur in your current job and life. It is all about believing that an individual can indeed make a difference, and actually going for it.

Unexpected monster on level 3 prevents me to go for a siesta !!!

Ok, after a lot of fun playing with cubes, Camille got tired and went to sleep. I was naively hoping to do the same but crossed this evil monster on my way to bed. I also have a dishwashing to do and need to prepare her 4 o'clock meal... hmm.. game is becoming tougher !

An experiment in real-time micro-storytelling real-life events

Today was a very special day for me, the first time that I was home alone with my baby girl for a whole day. I'm of course used to take care of her, but being all alone bring it to the next level. I was also looking forward for the fun we would have being just the two of us. I decided to take this as an opportunity to experiment with telling this story in realtime, as it unfolds, using various tools. Below is a quick feedback on my first impressions, and conclusions.

This is not storytelling: That's clear to me now. Storytelling is really an art form, built around a narrative, with a start, an end, and some climax. What I did today is much more like reporting. You don't know a priori if it will be an exciting story, or just plain boring.

Micro-blogging makes it maxi-superficial: Looking back at my tweets, I don't recognize the day. You have missed all the fun and moving parts. Like when we walked in the garden at Grandpa's house and looked at the flowers. Or when we played with cubes this morning. It was a long and beautiful day. A few tweets simply are not enough to share that.

An image is worth a 1000 words: The short video in the bathroom tells more than any other tweet. That is a great moment and it was the right medium to share it. So, maybe next time I should Qik the whole day ? Nah... even that is too much for me. I still have some notions of privacy :-)

Realtime does not matter, editing rocks: I don't see the value of realtime (you tell me if you see some). However I really like the edited story. That is a great souvenir to wich we can go back in a few years. Realtime is like the guy who takes 1500 pics during his holidays and never look at them. I still prefer a nice photo album with just a few pics, telling a great story.

For me, not for you: In the end, I think the real value to me lies in the 'memory' element of this story, more than in the sharing. I would almost prefer this whole thing to be private. It would allow me to share more content. I would then share the finalized story with just a few friends.

Conclusion: You can imagine a lot of great use cases around these new tools but you must try it yourself to understand how it flows, and how it feels. I'm not convinced yet with this 'broadcast my life' crazyness. I'm however convinced by the 'personal reporting' and 'multimedia memory' element of it.

I'm of couse wondering what you all think about this. Did you follow the story ? Do you read your friend's facebook streams ? Tell me !

Ho yeah.. I almost forgot.. here is the final story :-)
